North Dakota's Missouri River system holds walleye, smallmouth bass, and northern pike in numbers that would make most states jealous, and this Clouser Minnow is the skeleton key to all three. The lead eyes sink it into the strike zone fast -- which matters when you are fishing current that has been flowing south since the last ice age with no intention of slowing down. Walleye eat it because it looks like a shiner. Smallmouth eat it because it looks like a crayfish having an identity crisis. Pike eat it because they eat everything. Lake Sakakawea adds the dimension of vast, open water where you can cast until your shoulder files a formal complaint, and the Clouser will still be fishing effectively when you switch to your off hand.
